For the next two months, you will be able to see some more circus at Cirkus Syd, as we are happy to announce Acting For Climate as our in-house collective.

Over the winter of 2022-2023 and the winter of 2023-2024 Acting for Climate will research and develop the company artistically and organizatory together at Cirkus Syd's space in Stenkrossen, Lund. This will make them more resilient to expand and grow - both artistically, geographically, and in terms of artists involved.
"Acting for Climate was started in 2014, and since the beginning, one of our aims has been to have a location to come back to, to create, research and develop. Different from many other ways of working, we are only at the same location when we are in creation or on tour. This means that the company development, free artistic research, exchange of skills through training together and project development has primarily been on a volunteer basis so far. As an artistic company, we aim to work with sustainability in all layers. We believe that a key pillar for sustainability for our company would be to actually have the time and space to be physically together." - Emma Langmoen, Acting for Climate
Acting For Climate will organize and open stage in two weeks. More information on that will be coming soon. Alongside the open stage, there will be workshops, gatherings, and more. So stay tuned for more news!

About Acting for Climate:
The contemporary circus company Acting for Climate (NO) aims to use art to inspire people to act for a more sustainable future.
They create and tour their own performances, and are a growing international network of people, artists, and activists that nurture collaboration for sustainability. Fueled by a drive to change the world, they always aim to choose the most sustainable way, and to "walk the talk".
Acting for Climate believes that both the process and the product are political. They deal with sustainability both as a theme and in,
the way they approach things, like touring with sailships and bikes and collaborating with climate scientists in their artistic processes.
Through their workshops and international collaboration projects, they aim to inspire and empower artists and people to take action, exchange knowledge, question the norms, and strengthen each other.
Acting for Climate constantly aims to develop the art field and inspire change in society as a whole.
