Independent Training
Independent training is an open training for professional and aspiring professional artists. With these sessions we want to give circus artists in Lund and Skåne an opportunity to build consistency in their training. The independent training is located at our “Little Circus Center '' at Stenkrossen, the studio called Blåan.
The Studio is 7x7 m, ceiling height 4.5 m, and there are fixed rigging points where it is possible to rig aerials. No aerial training allowed if you are alone in the space.
Independent training is open every week Mon 18:00 - 20:00 & Friday 18:00 - 20:00. Training during the daytime is possible when someone from team CS is in the office and can let you in. Check the residency calendar for availability.

When: Mon 18:00 - 20:00 & Friday 18:00 - 20:00. For daytime training, check residency calendar

Circus Thinkers
Attention all thinkers and creators! Are you looking for a community of like-minded individuals to collaborate and share your thoughts and creative ideas with? Look no further! Our group of artistic thinkers looks for new members to join our book club and engage in discussions about the past, present, and future of circus.
As a member of Circus Thinkers, you'll have the opportunity to participate in (we think) thought-provoking discussions about circus and its evolving role in society. We believe that by studying the history and development of circus, we can gain a deeper understanding of its cultural significance and impact on the arts.
Our group also seeks to inspire and facilitate artistic collaborations among its members. Whether you're a visual artist, performer, writer, or simply someone with a passion for creativity, we welcome you to bring your ideas and work with others to bring them to life. Our exploration of sound & circus called Circosonic and two collaborative books published are just the beginning…
So if you're ready to connect with a community of artists and thinkers who share your interests, come join us! We can't wait to see what kind of magic we can create together.
Where: Zoom, online
When: Every tuesday 17:00 - 18:00

Studio Time
Are you a local artist or physical performer in need of a space to develop ideas, do artistic research, or simply rehearse?
From March onwards Cirkus Syd will offer its members studio time for 1 - 3 days Mons - Weds 10:00 - 16:00 at our “Little Circus Center” at Stenkrossen in Lund. The space will be open for artists and performers from all fields including (but not exclusive to) circus, dance, theatre and performance art. We welcome both groups and individual artists.
Book the studio by emailing fridamy@cirkussyd.com. Give us a short presentation of who you are, what work you are planning to do, and what dates you would like to work in the studio.
New, upcoming and aspiring artists are all welcome! Showings by the end of the process are welcome but not mandatory.
The Studio is 7x7 m, ceiling height 4.5 m, and there are fixed rigging points where it is possible to rig aerial. The space is connected to Cirkus Syd’s office (on another level, with no wall in between, meaning you’ll have to be ok with us seeing what you are doing ;) ).
