Handstand Masterclass w/ Elaine Briant

Cirkus Syd and Circus Open Training Lund are hosting a handstand masterclass with circus artist Elaine Briant!

Elaine's words on the workshop:

"The workshop will start with a handstand specific warmup. Then it will be divided in two parts. The first part will be focused on handstand technique for all levels. Basics for the beginners and one arm work for the most experienced. 

The second part will be a more creative approach to handstand like tools to find different ways to go up and go down from a handstand. While working with everyone’s individual needs and desires,  these parts can be adapted so everyone can find his own path."

Elaine is a young circus artist from Belgium speciealizing in handbalancing, she obtained her batchelor's degree in circus from SKH/DOCH in 2020. She is currently performing in both Moln and Tvärslöjd with Kompani Giraff.

She has also developped two handstand duos, one with Antonio Panaro, The Bulldogs, and one with Joana Martinho regarding manipulation of handstand blocks.

This workshop is for people who are or aspire to be proffesional circus artists/dancers/physical performers. You should be able to hold a two arm handstand for minimum ten seconds to participate. It will take place in Svarta Lådan at Stenkrossen in Lund the 5th November between 17:30-21:00.
