Stenkrossen Open House

Stenkrossen is back again with another open house event, the last one before we take our summer break, so you shouldn't miss this one, a fun program with performances, workshops, food and crafts!! Its free to take part of all the activities in the house.

CIRKUS SYD - Circus Library Torget: 18.00-21.00. On the square, Cirkus Syd will show off our own Circus Library! Come by and explore texts about circus, performing arts, and everything related to it. There will also be the opportunity to browse and buy Cirkus Syd's own publications!

OPEN CIRCUS TRAINING & CIRKUS SYD - Mobility, expression and coordination - workshop w/ Simon Bergil Westerberg Bygghallen: 18.15 - 30 min. A workshop on how to use your body efficiently and give your movement expression. We will go through some basic movement patterns often practiced by actors, dancers and circus performers to get ready for what the stage demands. Hopefully the workshop will provide you with some exercises for mobility and relaxation that you can use in your daily life.

OPEN CIRCUS TRAINING - Try out Circus! Bygghallen: 18.45-21.00. After the workshop with Simon, Circus Open Training will be ready in Bygghallen to help guide you through the circus jungle! We will rig aerial silk and hoop, there will be juggling props ready to use, and of course space to try out a handstand or headstand. Come and join us!

COSTA, SIERRA Y SELVA PERU - Peruvian Rhythms Workshop Svarta lådan: 19:30 and 20:30 - duration 30 min. Come and immerse in the captivating rhythms and vibrant spirit of Peruvian culture through dance workshops! Participants will learn step-by-step instructions in two traditional Peruvian dances, practice, and have fun while discovering Peruvian culture. And don't forget to take part in Lund Matvarukooperativs workshop on how to prepare "frejol colado", a typical Peruvian dessert. Bienvenido!

LUND MATVARUKOOPERATIV - BEAN Party! Vita Galleriet & Torget: 18.00-21.00, workshop 18.30. Welcome to our BEAN PARTY and discover how locally grown organic beans benefit our health and the environment. Come and taste several delicious recipes and our different varieties of locally produced organic beans will be for sale. Let’s travel to Peru!: At 18h30, you are invited to our workshop on how to prepare “frejol colado”, a typical Peruvian dessert featuring beans from the co-op. And afterwards join the “Costa, Selva, Sierra Peru” project to learn and practice some Peruvian traditional dances.

PROJEKT ELYSION - Open stage - Theme presence Blåan: 18.00-21.00. Workshop - Are you keen to try being on stage but don't know how? Do you want to develop your stage personality or have you written a poem that longs to be read? Do you love singing, dancing or acting and want to try showing off your creativity to others? This is a workshop where you are in a safe environment and with the help of coaching exercises and feedback from the group have the chance to test material on a stage. It is fine to bring a short verse/monologue or song/choreography/piece of music, otherwise project Elysion provides short simple materials.

SOUND SCULPTURE LAB - Fluids Torget: 18.00-21.00. Performance 19:00. Sound Sculpture lab invites the audience to explore an interactive water-powered sound installation in progress! Visitors are welcome to freely explore and interact with the artwork. 19:00 JN Lundberg gives a performance where he shows the possibilities of the work.

CIRCLE CENTRE – Craft Café Torget: 18.00-21.00. Circle Centre invites you to Craft Café where you can bring your own project of knitting/crocheting/sewing or any other project you are trying out. Or do you want to play games? Then settle down and borrow one of our many board games. We will provide some materials. Welcome!
