Level and recommendation for: This masterclass is designed for those with a strong foundation in aerial silks and/or rope and who are eager to elevate their dynamic technique to the next level or improve their skills.
About the workshop, what to expect: The session will cover dynamic tricks such as tempo-driven swings, body balance, jumps from the ground, c-shaping, and roll-ups. I'm always working on adapting the technique to my unique body and therefore creating my personal repertoire in silks. My goal is to help you achieve the same.
About Marie:
Marie is a circus artist specialising in aerial silks, based in Stockholm. A graduate of Stockholm University of the Arts, she has worked both as a pedagogue and performer with Cirkus Cirkör. Marie has performed at renowned festivals such as the Brocante Festival (IT), European Youth Circus Festival (DE), and Hupstate Festival (US). Her artistic practice is deeply inspired by the unique connection between her body and the fabric - a dynamic she describes as a blend of strength, fragility and flexibility. Marie is currently performing in The Extra Ordinary History of Circus with Cirkus Cirkör at Malmö Stadsteater.
