Guiding the reader through a series of thematic interviews, Tomi Purovaara’s book Conversations on Circus Teaching maps the current state of pedagogy in the circus field. Teachers from schools including the National Centre for Circus Arts in London, Le Lido in Toulouse, and Escuela de Circo Carampa in Madrid share their insights and knowledge on such subjects as the necessity of balancing skill and art in training, the shifting priorities and expectations of students, and the ethical responsibilities of trainers to their charges.

I worked with the publisher Mala performerska scena in the final stages to proofread the text and improve the standard of English for the book.
